Gleason Architects, P.C. is a full service architectural design firm founded by Thad Gleason in March of 2001 based upon a principle of competent design and personalized client service. We have a dedicated staff of licensed architects and project managers who are responsive toward each client's needs. Gleason Architects, P.C. is an Illinois Professional Corporation and our office is located in the growing community of Sugar Grove, Illinois.
Gleason Architects, P.C. is capable of providing full architectural and engineering design services from concept through completion. Besides our in-house capabilities, we maintain relationships with several professional engineering consultants with expertise in a variety of disciplines.
The principal and staff bring many years of combined experience in a broad range of building types including Senior Care, Healthcare, Affordable Housing, Aircraft Hangers, Retail, Automotive, Office/Warehouse, Professional Offices, Churches, Distribution Facilities, Restaurants, Recreation, and Multiple and Single Family Residential projects. We are also familiar with all types of construction including precast concrete, steel, masonry, wood framing and pre-engineered metal buildings.
Through our association with a number of capable construction companies, we are able to provide Design-Build and Construction Management services in addition to the traditional Design-Bid-Build project delivery method.
We maintain memberships in a number of related associations including the American Institute of Architects, Life Service Network, The Affordable Assisted Living Coalition, Construction Specifications Institute, Precast Concrete Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers and others.
We are LEED design professionals and sensitive to the growing movement toward green architecture. We are also CDB certified to do business with the State of Illinois. We are familiar with all federal, state, and local codes and maintain strong relationships with many local governing agencies.
Owner / Principal
Mr. Gleason is a licensed architect in the states of Illinois and California and has over 20 years of experience in architectural and structural design.
Mr. Gleason was born and grew up in Kewanee, Illinois. He later moved to Oswego, Illinois with his parents and five brothers and sisters where he graduated from Oswego High School in 1975. He attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1981. After a three year apprenticeship he received his license to practice architecture in 1986.
He has served as staff designer for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad where he prepared plans for railroad bridges and other structures. He has experience as an architectural engineer with an established downtown Chicago engineering firm where he handled various engineering projects including:

Project Architect
Mike has been involved in the practice of Architecture for 20 years. He is currently licensed in the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. He has worked on many types of buildings: single family residential, luxury high rise multi-family, commercial office buildings high rise and low rise, resort hotels, and specialty buildings. After receiving his Bachelor of Architecture in design and planning at The Illinois Institute Of Technology Mike has gone on to work on many projects. Diane has been involved in the practice of Architecture for 8 years.
